Arbor day is a perfect time to plant a tree! You can buy one at your local nursery (make sure it is adapted to temperatures in Zone 9 and that it won't grow too big for the spot you selected). Or get up to 5 tree seedlings at the Master Gardener Arbor Day tree giveaway at the Bartram Trail Library from 8:30AM until the trees are gone. Master Gardeners will give away Florida Friendly seedlings along with instructions for planting them. If you buy a tree from a nursery, use the University of Florida's Tree Planting Guide.
